This stairway was part of a basement remodel that added almost eight hundred square feet to the house. After doing all the structural work involved I designed these stairs inspired by a motif on some french doors in the same bungalow.
It was made from vertical grain Douglas Fir. I milled the rail from a certified sustainably harvested rain forest hardwood. It has a hand rubbed oil finish.
