Custom Cherry Cabinetry

This project started in the early nineties when I was commissioned to make this cherry sideboard. Years later when the house was sold my name was passed with the papers.  I was called by the new owners wanting me to build a brakefront to match.

It was built and finished in the shop.  Having left for work before I arrived, the first time the client saw the piece it was fully installed and finished.  I’ll never forget their squeals of joy and amazement when they returned home that evening.   But, the biggest compliment of all, came almost 10 years later when I got invited back to make the cabinets for their kitchen remodel.

They had great ideas about the sorts of things they wanted in their new kitchen, like the under counter book shelf and versatile workspace.

I also helped with the remodel by removing the old cabinets, moving plumbing and electrical, and installing new energy efficient windows.
